Meet the face behind the brush

Abbey Hardwick is an emerging creative artist. Having graduated from NIDA at the end of 2023 with a Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services), 2024 sees her launching her freelance career in Makeup Artistry.  

 

Abbey, delights in the transformational qualities of makeup, whether via crafting SFX, simply enhancing natural features or collaborating to visually communicate characters for diverse narratives. Abbey views makeup as an opportunity to explore possibilities, challenge norms, and show the power of creativity to both shape identity and form meaningful impressions.

 

With a natural ability to work with a creative team to grow a visual aesthetic, Abbey sees being a makeup artist as a rich multi-faceted creative role. In collaboration, she has designed and executed the looks for both music videos and short films, as well as acting as assistant makeup artist on a number of larger productions.
